The community

Community in the sidebar is the forum: where people building on Creora ask each other things, show what they made, and say what is missing. This page covers it, the ranks and badges it produces, your public profile, and Explore.

Reading and posting

Reading needs no account at all. Posting needs a wallet signed in, and two short waits that keep spam out: a reply needs an account fifteen minutes old, and starting a discussion needs one a day old, unless you have already published an app, which skips the wait. After that you may start five discussions a day and write thirty replies an hour.

The front page lists twenty discussions a page, pinned ones first, and sorts three ways: Active, the default; New; and Unanswered, which shows only what nobody has answered yet. Every filter and page is an address you can send to somebody.

Starting a discussion

Press New discussion and pick where it belongs:

Help. Something is not working, or the agent will not do the thing you want.
Show your work. Post what you made. A link to the published app says more than a description.
Feedback. What is missing, what is awkward, and what you would build instead.
Announcements. Changes to Creora, from the people who make it. Only a moderator starts one; anybody can reply.

Each category shows a prompt saying what a good post there contains. A title is 8 to 140 characters and the post itself is 20 to 20,000. Replies are 2 to 10,000.

Replying, and marking what helped

The reply box is at the bottom of a discussion, with Edit and Preview tabs. Replies show oldest first, twenty five a page.

If you started the discussion, you decide what helped you. On any reply that is not your own you get Mark as the answer, which one reply at a time can hold, and Mark as helpful, which any number can. A new answer clears the old one. These marks are where standing comes from, which is why you cannot use them on yourself.

You can change the words of your own post afterwards; it then shows Edited with when. You can delete your own discussion only while nobody has replied, from the discussion actions menu. Once there are replies, ask a moderator instead.

What a post can contain

Markdown: headings, lists, quotes, links, tables and fenced code blocks, with colouring for bash, css, diff, javascript, typescript, json, markdown and html. Three things may surprise you. Raw HTML is never treated as HTML, so a tag you paste appears as the text you typed. An image address becomes a link rather than a picture. And links open in a new tab.

Reporting, and what moderators can do

Anybody signed in can press Report on a discussion or a reply, choose a reason (spam or advertising, abuse or harassment, off topic for this category, something else) and add a note of up to 500 characters. A moderator sees the reason, your note and your username, so reporting is not anonymous. One report per person per post.

A moderator can pin a discussion to the top, lock it so no new replies arrive, remove a post and restore one. A removed post keeps its place and reads as removed by a moderator; you and the moderators still see the text and the reason, because an action nobody can see is one nobody can argue with.

Ranks

There are five: Newcomer, Contributor, Regular, Mentor and Steward. Each asks three things at once and all three have to be met: a score, the number of separate days you posted on, and how old your account is. A high score on a two day old account is still a two day old account. The score comes from what other people did with your posts:

a reply of yours marked as the answer, 12
a reply of yours marked helpful, 4
a discussion of yours somebody else answered, 3, up to 20 of them
joining somebody else's discussion, 1 each, up to 40
a day on which you posted anything, 1, up to 60 days
a post a moderator removed, minus 15

The score never goes below zero. How many discussions you started and how many replies you wrote are shown and are worth nothing, on purpose: the two signals you can produce alone are capped low enough that they cannot carry you past the third rank, so everything above that is given to you by somebody else. How ranks work, linked from the forum's front page, states all of this and shows you your own standing and the gap to the next rank.

Achievements

Twelve badges, earned from work that cost something to do. First project and First build come early; Builder is twenty five finished agent runs; Shipped is your first published app; Three live is keeping three published at once; Seven days is building on seven days in a row.

A badge is awarded the moment the thing happens, never when somebody looks at your page, and nothing is ever taken away. A stranger sees the ones you earned; you also see the faded ones you have not, with what to do for each.

Your public profile

Your profile is at /u/yourname, the one address you can hand to a stranger. It shows your display name, picture, banner, bio and links, your badges, and every app you have published. Your wallet address is hidden unless you turn on Show my wallet address in Settings → Profile.

The same section has Hide my profile. With it on, the page reads as not found to everybody but you, and you are left out of search. The apps you published stay on Explore, under the username the address already contains and nothing else about you. See your account.

Explore

Explore is the public feed of apps people published: a card each with the name, description, cover and counts, twenty four a page with Show more at the bottom. Sort by Newest, Most viewed or Most remixed.

Every card has a Remix button, which copies that app's files into a new project of your own. It takes the code and only the code: not the author's data, not their images, not their conversation with the agent. Thirty remixes an hour. Publishing your own work is covered in publishing.
